Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: Errors can be a part of baseball, and for the Sheridan Troopers, the team is trying to cut down on them. NBA Draft 2025: Round 1 of the draft took place last night and one Mountain West Conference player had his name called. Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the second game of their 3-game series at home vs. the LA Dodgers last night 8-1. Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: It may be summer-time now, but the puck drops on the 2025-26 season in about 2 months. The season schedule for all teams in the NA3HL was released yesterday, which includes the Sheridan Hawks and the season starts on Friday, September 5th. The Lady Broncs went 19-11-2 in their inaugural season, with most of their wins happening in come from behind fashion.
Through 47 games, the Troopers have only committed 13 miscues, although that does not include passed balls and wild pitches.
Sometimes it’s when the error is made that can make a difference.
Dom Destafano says the miscues can take a toll mentally and Sheridan needs to do a better job of getting over it.
Head Coach Austin Cowen says there’s about 1 month to go before the state tournament starts and that means there’s still some work to do.
The Troopers begin play today at a weekend tournament in Billings, Montana.
The team plays Parker, Colorado at 12:30pm and the Billings Scarlets at 3pm.
Sheridan plays Great Falls, Montana at 10am tomorrow, and then on Saturday their opponent is the Black Gold 47’s from Alberta, Canada.
Sunday’s opponent is to be announced.
The next home game is scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd.
Sheridan HS Softball: To say that Sheridan over-achieved in their inaugural season, might be an understatement.
The Lady Broncs went 19-11-2, with most of their wins happening in come from behind fashion, and won a few in walk-off style.
Head Coach Kristen Czaban says as the season progressed, other teams took notice, and although they may not surprise any opponents next year, the team got some attention.
This year, Sheridan placed 2nd at the North Regional Tournament and qualified for the state tournament.

The schedule format changed for the upcoming season, as Sheridan will play 3 games home and away vs. every team in the Frontier Division, expect for Cody which will be 4 and 4.
Sometimes the Hawks will play 2 different opponents on a certain weekend, and not always the same team twice in a row.
Sheridan plays their first 6 games and 8 of their first 10 on the road.
The home opener is scheduled for Friday, September 26th vs. Rapid City, and that will be followed by a home game vs. Cody the next night.
The Hawks placed tied for 2nd last season in the NA3HL’s Frontier Division and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Great Falls.

NBA Draft 2025: Round 1 of the draft took place last night and one Mountain West Conference player had his name called.
Nique Clifford of Colorado State was selected 24th by NBA Champ Oklahoma City and then was traded to Sacramento, in exchange for a 2027 protected first round pick.
As a fifth-year senior, he averaged 18.9 points per game and grabbed 9.6 rebounds.
Round 2 of the draft is tonight.
