The second day of Motor City Pride continues in Detroit. Jai Rodriguez from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” is the Grand Marshall. Rodriguez says the community has come a long way in the last few years.

DETROIT – “To have a safe space, to come together and feel community is really nice, especially if you don’t find yourself feeling like you have community on a daily basis. Coming here and realizing you’re really not alone is really beautiful,” and so many more will find that feeling of belonging down at Hart Plaza in Downtown Detroit as the second day of Motor City Pride continues.
4Warn Meteorologist Bryan Schuerman got to talk with Jai Rodriguez from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” about what it means to him to come to Detroit as Grand Marshall for this year’s pride parade at Motor City Pride, as well as how the LGBTQ+ community has come such a long way over the last few years, but still has a long way to go.
