When I had the opportunity to try Quince’s Italian Handwoven Leather MIni Shoulder Bag, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the convertible style is comfortable on my body. The bag can be worn three ways thanks to the interchangeable straps that are long enough for me to sport it across my chest. While some handbags sit too high and bounce against my ribcage, Quince’s version rests just above my hip. It’s also made of durable leather, has ample space, and looks great with my entire wardrobe.

I was impressed with the bag’s versatility as soon as it arrived. I received it in the cognac colorway, which is a rich, mid-toned brown that I knew would match tons of outfits and could transition to different seasons. The leather is soft and flexible, while the weave is intricate and doesn’t gape or split when the bag is open.

It comes with two leather straps — a short option for carrying it by hand and a longer one that can be slung over the shoulder — that are easy to switch using the carabiner-style gold hardware at the corners. The longer strap, though, is my favorite because it’s adjustable.

As someone who is both tall and plus-size, handbag straps are often too short for my frame, hitting me at odd angles. With the Quince strap, I can properly adjust the fit to my body. The best part is that when let out all the way, the bag is wearable in a third manner, as a crossbody, which has become my personal favorite style.

While the bag’s design was what initially drew me in, I’ve been wildly impressed by its functionality, too. It’s compact and lightweight yet spacious inside and easily holds my wallet, phone, keys, lip balm, and hand sanitizer without stretching out or losing its shape. There’s also a side pocket with a zipper that’s ideal for smaller items and built-in card holders.

Shoppers love how much room the design has, too, with one person calling it a “Mary Poppins bag,” and another saying they were surprised by how much the small purse can fit. Now, let’s talk about what else I’m adding to my cart. The Heavyweight Travel Hoodie is my new fave travel accessory.
