Peterson, 40, is one of the best running backs of all-time. He made $103 million over the course of his career. But Peterson has found himself in some financial trouble over the years. Now, he’s set to partake in a celebrity boxing match.

The legendary NFL star is set to fight the man he nearly came to blows with at a poker game. TMZ Sports first reported the news:
The NFL legend put his John Hancock on a Celebrity Boxing contract Wednesday evening … and after Joe “Baby Joe” Castaneda inked his deal with the fight org. earlier this week — a sanctioned bout between the two is now incoming. No official fight night date or location has been set yet — but Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman said in a video message he’s getting to work on all that ASAP. Peterson, meanwhile, told us in the hours after agreeing to the pact he’s taking the bout seriously.

Going the celebrity boxing match route is never a great sign, especially for someone of Peterson’s stature.
NFL fans are beginning to worry about him.
“Aka he’s broke already. Beyond sad,” one fan wrote.

When healthy, Peterson was one of the best running backs the National Football League has ever seen. It’s certainly sad to see him go down the route of becoming a celebrity boxing match partaker.
Hopefully, he’ll emerge from the fight without any serious injuries or problems.
