In early June, Royal Oak Mayor Mike Fournier and his colleagues on the city commission voted unanimously to approve a controversial plan for a new Sheetz gas station and convenience store.
Days after the vote, Fournier went on a private fishing charter on Lake Huron with a Sheetz consultant, according to photographs and comments on Facebook. In photos they’re smiling, wearing similar sweatshirts with the same logo of a Lake Huron motel.
