Andrea Allyn appointed president of national orthopedic execs

Andrea Allyn, MBA, ATC, of Heartland Orthopedic Specialists has been appointed president of the board of directors for the American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives for the 2025-2026 term. With her leadership, AAOE enters a dynamic new chapter, guided by a newly appointed board of directors focused on advancing orthopedic practice management across the nation.

Allyn’s election reflects both her professional excellence and her long-standing contributions to the field of orthopedic practice leadership. As she assumes this prominent national role, key highlights from her professional journey include: more than 15 years of experience in orthopedic administration and athletic training; extensive service within AAOE, including participation in multiple leadership committees; strong advocacy for operational innovation and high-quality musculoskeletal care; and first representative from Heartland Orthopedic Specialists to hold this national office.

Sarah Iverson to open State Farm Insurance at 1306 Broadway

Sarah Iverson is the new owner of a State Farm Insurance agency in Alexandria that was previously under the ownership of Dwain Schuette. It is located at 1306 Broadway.

The agency’s opening day is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 1.

Originally from Glenwood and a Minnewaska graduate, Iverson (Roering) played college golf at Colorado State and spent more than 10 years in the golf industry, even winning the 2010 Resorters Golf Tournament.

Now based in Alexandria, she leads a friendly, experienced team at the Sarah Iverson State Farm, She is ready to build lasting relationships with her clients and help make sure they are well protected.
