TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Last summer, WCTV introduced you to Glove Refresh, a glove relacing and break in business. Since then, business has doubled, in work, in revenue, and also space. Glove Refresh is growing, and they’re doing it right where it all began, in Tallahassee.

“For a while, they were like how much longer are you going to be in the garage?” laughed Rich Davis, who started the business in November of 2022 from his parent’s garage. “When are we going to get our garage back?”

Glove Refresh has turned into more than Davis could have ever envisioned. Less than three years since starting Glove Refresh, Davis and his crew have leveled up.

This spring, Davis opened his own storefront, still doing what Glove Refresh does best, just in a much bigger space.

“Electricity has been huge too,” he said of the warehouse. “We were limited on the amount of stuff we could do. We were tripping breakers left and right, here, it hasn’t been an issue. We were having to go down the road to get the big jugs of filtered water to bring back, now we have a sink right here.”

While they still get orders from all over the country, the local impact has been the biggest, and most welcome, change for Davis.

“We love so much more being able to talk to them face to face,” he said. “When we were at our old shop, we would have maybe 4-5 people a week coming by, but since we moved in here, our first week in here, it was like 4-5 a day pretty much instantly.”

Giving back directly to the people that made an idea a reality.

“Every time someone asks me what I do for a living, they’re like what? They’re like that’s insane, I didn’t even know that was possible! I said yeah, I didn’t really know either. I just started doing it and found out what happened.”

That dreams do in fact come true. The grand opening of the storefront is set for Saturday, June 28th from 1:00-4:00 at the location at 1525 Capital Circle NW Unit 2 in Tallahassee. They are giving away three gloves as part of the celebration.
