Oregon business owner convicted of sexually abusing 12-year-old girl in 2023
Daniel Stuebgen, 54, was found guilty earlier this month of raping and sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. The girl was working as a volunteer at two of his businesses in Lincoln City and Pacific City. His sentencing is set for June 3.
The Lincoln County jury convicted Daniel Stuebgen, 54, of three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of second-degree sodomy, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and four counts of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, court records show.
Stuebgen and his ex-wife own Happy Trails Feed & Tack in Lincoln City and Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides in Pacific City, the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. Court records state that Stuebgen abused the child between June 1st and September 30, 2023.
Stuebgen’s sentencing by Lincoln County Circuit Court Judge Sheryl Bachart is set for June 3.

A Lincoln County jury found Daniel Stuebgen, 54, guilty of three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of second-degree sodomy, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and four counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.
The charges stem from five incidents of abuse back in 2023 involving a twelve-year-old who was volunteering at Happy Trails Feed & Tack in Lincoln City and Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides in Pacific City, the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office said.
He owned the two businesses with his now ex-wife.
“The Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office would like to thank the Lincoln City Police Department and the Children’s Advocacy Center for their excellent work and perseverance in helping this child receive justice,” the DA’s office said.
Stuebgen’s sentencing is scheduled for June 3.

The abuse happened while the child volunteered at two businesses the man owned in 2023, the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office reported Tuesday night.
On May 1, Daniel Stuebgen, 54, was found guilty of three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of second-degree sodomy, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and four counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.
The abuse occurred while the child was volunteering at Happy Trails Feed & Tack in Lincoln City and Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides in Pacific City, businesses operated by Stuebgen at the time.
