A semi-truck driver noticed during a pre-trip inspection that his trailer had been broken into. 2,810 consoles were stolen in total, and it seems that they were all of the Mario Kart World bundle variety. That means the total loss of the stolen goods would be over $1.4 million.

The Nintendo Switch 2 units were intended to be delivered at a GameStop store in Grapevine, Texas. Systems were originally received from Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington. The theft was reported at about 8 AM on June 8 at the Love’s Truck Stop at 1191 S. 1st St. in Bennett, Colorado. The driver says he did not know what was in the trailer, other than the fact that it was games or toys.
