The Mercury (2-1) will face the Washington Mystics (2-2) at 3 p.m. MST on May 25 for the first meeting of the season between the teams.
Mercury star Kahleah Copper has yet to play in the 2025 season and is ruled out for the next four to six weeks after undergoing a successful left knee arthroscopy. Natasha Mack is week-to-week with a back injury and hasn’t appeared this season. Guard Monique Akoa Makani, who has started in all three games, is questionable with a left knee issue.
The Mystics will be without Shakira Austin, who is in concussion protocol, and rookie Georgia Amoore, who suffered an ACL injury during training camp.
Mystics leading scorer Brittney Sykes is questionable with a right lower leg injury. Sykes has averaged 26.3 points per game, the second-best in the WNBA. Aaliyah Edwards is probable with a low back contusion and could make her season debut against the Mercury.
