PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) – After more than five years of serving the community, a Mercer Street staple will be closing its doors.

Blue Ridge Bee Company announced on social media that it will cease to exist in a few weeks.

What started as a dream — renovating an old building from the ground up and creating something truly unique — became a reality thanks to the incredible support of our community. We’ve loved every part of the journey and the challenge it brought.

The owners say that its time for a new chapter in their lives.

“Now, it’s time for us to move on to new adventures and spend more time with our family as our kids grow older,” said the business in a social media post.

The business served Mercer Street for over five years. It will be open the next two Fridays and Saturdays to liquidate its inventory and say good-bye to the community.
