The President of the United States likes to golf, that’s for sure. Some close to the President of the United States have suggested that he loves golf more than anything else. Based on his habits, it might be hard to argue with that.
President Trump, 79, has logged a lot of golf rounds since becoming President of the United States. The Associated Press has the official number, too. In total, during his first six months in office, President Trump has made 35 trips to his golf courses in New Jersey, Florida and Virginia.
His habits differed than those of former U.S. President Joe Biden.

“The president has logged 14 Florida trips, 13 to Virginia and eight to New Jersey. After summer arrived, he has favored Bedminster or day trips to Sterling over steamy Mar-a-Lago in Florida,” the Associated Press reported.
“Biden headed to his home in Wilmington, Delaware, many weekends early in his term. He sometimes went to a golf club, but attended Mass nearly every weekend.”

“I just wanna say to your audience, there is not a more hardworking president than Donald J. Trump. I witness it with my own two eyes every day,” she said. “That man is working around the clock. He hardly ever sleeps. He’s constantly thinking about not just the problems in our country here, but around this world and how to solve them.”
Some American people are warning against that, though.
“Trump played golf 261 times his first term… a round every 5.6 days. He’s played golf 40 times since taking office in January. That’s a round every 4.4 days. Quit lying to the American people,” one American wrote.

“Trump has played a ton of rounds of golf just since Jan. 2025. All at his own golf courses. Secret Service has to PAY him money to follow his low talent self around the golf course,” one fan joked.

Wells Fargo has since reportedly suspended travel by its executives to China, noting in its statement to The New York Times that the company is tracking the situation and working “through the appropriate channels” to ensure their employee is returned.
The company did not provide any details as to why Mao was prevented from leaving the country but noted that she has not been detained in China and is free to move about the country.
“We have raised our concern with Chinese authorities about the impact arbitrary exit bans on U.S. citizens have on our bilateral relations and urged them to immediately allow impacted U.S. citizens to return home,” said a U.S. Embassy in Beijing spokesperson.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman was asked about Mao’s exit ban on Friday but said he was not aware of it.

Youngstown celebrates National Ice Cream Day
Sunday is National Ice Cream Day. The first 100 guests in line got free ice cream. Handles Homemade Ice Cream also celebrated 80 years in business. The event marks eight decades since Alice Handle first scooped her homemade ice cream from her backyard. The Good Humor Ice Cream Bar was created in the early 1920s in the same Youngstown building as Harry Burt’s confectionery shop. It is one of the biggest ice cream companies in the country today, with 170 locations across the U.S. and around the world. The Mahoning Valley Historical Society held a celebration with make-your-own ice cream stations and the famous Goodhumor Bar at the Tyler History Center in Youngstown.
100 years ago, people lined up outside Harry Burt’s confectionery shop to try the soda, chocolate and of course, ice cream. On Sunday, people lined up outside that very same building to get a taste of Youngstown’s roots.
“We are celebrating at the Tyler History Center, which was Harry Confectionery Shop, and a lot of people know that he was the maker of the Good Humor Ice Cream Bar. So, that was first manufactured right here in this building,” said Traci Manning, the curator of education at the Mahoning Valley Historical Society.

The historical society held a National Ice Cream Day celebration with make-your-own ice cream stations and the famous Good Humor Bar in the same building where the treat was created in the early 1920s.
“This was the ballroom that Harry Burt had. So, that was used for dances and musical events. Upstairs was his candy and chocolate factory. The first floor was where he had restaurants, and his soda fountain counter, the candy counter, a bakery, and then the basement level was where he made ice cream,” Manning said.
But Harry Burt isn’t the only ice cream maker with ties to the area. Some of the biggest ice cream companies today still call Youngstown home.

“We had Isalys all around the Mahoning Valley. They, of course, started the Klondike Bar, the Skyscraper Cone, so many things,” Manning said. “Handles, of course, which everyone knows, started by Alice Handle.”
Handles Homemade Ice Cream also celebrated 80 years in business on Sunday with a block party at its original location in Youngstown.
The first 100 guests in line got free ice cream. The event marks eight decades since Alice Handle first scooped her homemade ice cream from her backyard.
“We thank the people of Youngstown for helping us grow from 1 location to 160 locations coast to coast. By the end of the year, we’ll have 170 locations. It’s just the type of thing that people love us and we love them. It’s a great thing, ice cream,”
The celebration was a chance for the community to come together, share memories and enjoy ice cream. It even attracted people from out of town.

“Indiana is lacking in a lot of things, and we could always make it better with some ice cream,” said Kayla Turner, who had her first scoop of Handles Ice Cream at the celebration.
Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown was also in attendance.
“There’s a love from this community for this business, but that business also loves this community as well,” Brown said.
Anyone turning 80 this year got a free small cone or dish to celebrate the shared milestone.

Trump says Epstein scandal has goosed his approval rating
Donald Trump says his poll numbers have gone up since the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The president has been forced to address the story over and over again, because his base refused to move on. Trump appears ready to move past the Epstein “hoax” by making up stories about how much everyone likes him. The post is a return-to-form for Trump, who appears to be trying to make new headlines.
The president uncharacteristically dug in his heels on a topic that managed to stick around. Trump was forced to address the story over and over again, as he tried to make new headlines, because his base refused to move on. This week, Trump called for the release of grand jury transcripts from Epstein’s case and threatened to sue conservative media kingpin Rupert Murdoch over a Wall Street Journal report that revealed a birthday note sent to the late sex trafficker by the president.

Trump said on Sunday that his poll numbers have skyrocketed since the Department of Justice faceplanted with a memo about Epstein’s case files.
“My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly, since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and, just plain ‘troublemakers.’ They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records,” he wrote. “The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!”
Recent polls that included Democrats and Republicans have found that Trump’s approval rating is abysmal. A majority of Americans feel that the United States is not better off than it was at the start of Trump’s term six months ago. And Trump’s MAGA base must be less enthusiastic than it was before the Epstein story sent his followers (and Trump, briefly) into a spiral.
