Pumas and Necaxa tied in a result that hurts the host side and benefits the visiting side. Pumas had been the better team and should have won but a lack of finishing hampered them. Especially bad was the miss by Martinez which will bring him a lot of pressure as fans will not be happy with his current form. Necaxa got a great start but overall were the inferior team and were lucky that Pumas wasn’t great up top and that the referee bailed them out in the injury time with a controversial call. They will have a good opportunity to add points next week when they host struggling Leon. Meanwhile Pumas will have one of their toughest game of the season, if not the toughest, when they travel to face off against current Liga MX champions Toluca.
