RANT to drivers on the freeway moving in and out of traffic at 90 mph. Please stop endangering all the other people in cars on the road. I-5 is not a speedway intended (for people rich enough to buy cars that go really fast) to go 85-110 mph. Specifically, I am talking to the driver the other day who pulled up to about 2 feet from my rear bumper. I saw him coming, but was not expecting him (it is always young men, it seems) to get so close to my car. I was going exactly 70 mph, which was a safe speed in the lane next to the fast lane. I moved over, he sped up quickly, and continued weaving in and out of traffic with barely enough room to change lanes with all of the traffic. Do these people not understand the danger of driving like this? The opinions expressed in reader comments are those of the author only and do not reflect the opinions of The Seattle Times.
