This Independence Day is a record-setting year for travel.

According to AAA over 72.2 million people are expected to travel at least 50 miles this holiday weekend.

Officials say 61.6 million are driving to their destination, 5.84 million are flying, and 4.78 million are using alternative transportations.

This is a 2.4% increase from last year and a 7 million person increase from 2019.

AAA says based on bookings through its data the top two destination spots for the holiday are Orlando, Florida and Seattle, Washington.
