UK-based RMT Accountants & Business Advisors has appointed Michael McCulloch as its new head of corporate finance.

In its press release, the accounting practice noted that McCulloch will also join its Board of Directors.

McCulloch has nearly 20 years of experience leading and executing complex transactions.

He will focus on enhancing the company’s corporate finance advisory services, particularly for owner-managed and growth-stage businesses.

Prior to this role, he spent 13 years at an independent practice in the North East, where he provided advice on a diverse range of UK and cross-border deals across various industries.

McCulloch said: “RMT is making a strategic investment in its corporate finance capabilities and it is an incredibly exciting time for me to be joining the business to lead this growth.

“Our market approach will focus on supporting existing clients, many of whom are preparing for investment, appraising bolt-on opportunities or looking at succession planning. We are aiming to build an advisory service that reflects the needs of those regional businesses and helps them prepare for key decisions that will shape their future.

In his new position, McCulloch will also be responsible for the development and leadership of RMT’s corporate finance operations, overseeing deal execution and team growth.

He is also tasked with strengthening the company’s advisory services.
