Several arrests made during operation at Lifestyle Apartments following shooting last month
A 23-year-old man was shot and died at an area hospital on June 28. Two others were injured in the shooting at the Lifestyle Apartments on Lakeshore Drive. On July 3, the Shreveport Police Department announced they collaborated with the City Marshal’s Office in a joint operation. The operation resulted in the arrest of multiple people, several of whom were found to have active warrants and illegal contraband, officials said. The majority of those arrested did not live at the apartment complex and were not listed on any leases.
During the June 28 shooting, a 23-year-old man was shot and died at an area hospital. A 2-year-old female also sustained a gunshot wound to the lower leg, while a 15-year-old male was grazed.

On July 3, the Shreveport Police Department announced they collaborated with the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office in a joint operation at the Lifestyle Apartments on Lakeshore Drive. The targeted operation resulted in the arrest of multiple people, several of whom were found to have active warrants and illegal contraband, according to officials.
The majority of those arrested did not live at the apartment complex and were not listed on any leases, SPD officials said.

Jason Harris, 31 (Possession of multiple types of narcotics, illegal carrying of a weapon with narcotics, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon)
Joycelyn Johnson, 30 – (Shreveport City Marshal warrants for traffic violations)
Zohuri Edwards, 28 (Caddo Parish warrant for possession of marijuana; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute)
Micheal Casey, 35 (Shreveport City Marshal warrant for traffic violations)
Sharon Coleman, 52 (Shreveport City Marshal warrants for traffic violations)
James Merrit, 52 (Caddo Parish warrant for illegal use of a weapon; Shreveport City Marshal warrant for resisting an officer)
Demond Wilson, 23 (Negligent carrying of a weapon)
Derrick McCracken, 21 (Possession of marijuana)
Vincent Hendricks, 30 (Shreveport City Marshal warrant for traffic violations)
