Severe weather across the country made most flights in and out of Reagan National Airport Sunday nearly impossible. Flightaware recorded 154 cancellations early Sunday night, along with nearly 400 delays. Monday looks to be an unexpected crazy travel day due to the weather. Travelers are advised to check in with their airline before heading to the airport.

Dr. Tyeisha Chavis is among those whose flight did not leave. She’s heading to Cincinnati to see family. Most people would be upset by a cancellation–not Chavis.
“Before I came to the airport, I was at a spa. So I’m like really relaxed. And I refused to let anything disrupt my day,” Chavis said. “So I’m just here, you know, looking at booking a hotel. And, you know, my flight has been rescheduled to tomorrow morning, so I’ll be back tomorrow morning and hopefully I’ll be able to you know, board the flight.”
Flightaware tracked 276 delays with 21 cancellations at Dulles International Airport, while Baltimore-Washington International saw 317 delays and 36 cancellations.
