“Did you know there is a secret corridor at Gatwick South that takes you straight into departures and skips all of duty-free?” he asked his followers. “After security, when you turn left, you are usually led down these escalators, but don’t do it.

“Instead, look to your left and you will see a sign for the ‘Lounges.’ Head down there instead. Once you reach the end of this corridor, you’ll come out onto the first floor of the departure hall, where all the restaurants are.”

Prince Archie and Princess Lili’s faces were not visible in any of the pictures, with Meghan adding emojis over their faces for privacy. “Our kids are young,” Meghan told CBS News Sunday Morning last summer while discussing online safety for parents. “They’re amazing. But all you want to do as parents is protect them. And so, as we can see what’s happening in the online space, we know that there’s a lot of work to be done there, and we’re just happy to be able to be a part of change for good.”

However since Meghan launched her Instagram back in January, she has posted glimpses of her family’s life in California, which has included her children. To mark Lili’s birthday last week, she shared a series of never-before-seen pictures of her daughter, writing, “Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it.”

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Secrets

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a new novel by Ann Brashares. It’s about a pair of jeans that fits four friends of differing sizes. The author got the idea for the book when she was working as an editor.

Why Pants?

“I think pants have unique qualities, especially in a woman’s life,” The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants author Ann Brashares told BookBrowse of how she devised the novel’s conceit, a magical pair of jeans that fits four friends of differing sizes. “Whatever bodily insecurities we have, we seem to take out on our pants. In high school, my friends would have their skinny pants and their fat pants. I like pants that allow women not to judge their bodies. The Traveling Pants are the kind of pants that always love you.”

And she got the idea for the book when she was working as an editor and a colleague told her about sharing a pair of pants with her friends one summer.

“She told me the pants had sadly been lost in Borneo,” Brashares said. “My mind was immediately filled with all sorts of wonderful possibilities.”

A flight attendant has shared the top secrets to scoring the best treatment onboard your flight this summer.

Michelle Stoner, VIP flight attendant and former Emirates cabin crew, has shared how small gestures such as purchasing chocolates for your air stewards, and by just dressing nicely, you could boost your chance of “good fortune” during your journey.

The first top tip the air stewardess, who has partnered with VSO, shared was the advantage of purchasing a box of chocolates before you get on the plane.

She said: “The best tip is to buy a bag of duty-free chocolates and give it to the cabin crew when you’re boarding. They will remember you and give you special treatment, it works like a charm!

Most airlines don’t provide blankets and pillows on the seats, but you can always ask the crew because they’ll be hiding them somewhere, and If you have kids, you could ask if they have any complimentary toys or play books for them – these are normally on longer flights and those bigger airlines.”

To get the best seat on the plane, Michelle suggests looking as far back on the plane as possible, especially if you ar on a fairly empty flight.

She said: “The further back you go, the emptier it seems to get.”

“If you have a fairly empty flight, you’re almost guaranteed a row at the back to yourself – make sure you ask the crew and claim it as soon as you know the doors are closed for boarding.

“You can also ask the check agent if the flight is busy and then ask if you can change seats to a better one – they normally are very helpful!”

Other flight hacks involving seat reservations involved using your wardrobe to its maximum.

The air stewardess said “dressing nicely” can be the difference between snagging an upgrade or not on the plane.

She added: “It’s a good idea to dress nicely at the airport if you would like an upgrade. They are more likely to upgrade a well-dressed passenger instead of one boarding in their pyjamas.

“The obvious way would be through a loyalty program and to use your reward points. Additionally, you can always try your luck and ask nicely at the check-in desk.”

Michelle also suggested taking advantage of the app your airline has on offer, as you may be able to nab upgrades at a cheaper rate.

She added there was one specific day of the week which is rumoured to be better for grabbing a good deal.

The former Emirates flight attendant said: Using the airline’s app can give you upgrades for much cheaper and better deals. Booking on a Tuesday is also rumoured to be the cheapest day to find the best deals on flights.”

Airport security is the final area Michelle has discussed, emphasising how important it is to be organised when you are planning your getaway.

She said: “Be organised, prepare your bag before you get to airport security.

“Have your plastic bag ready with your toiletries- despite not every airport needing them anymore, it’s always good to be prepared – empty your water bottle, have your laptop easily accessible and wear shoes that are easily removable. Don’t be that person who holds up the line!”
