Pawandeep Khinda owns the All India Cafe restaurant.

The family has three locations across Southern California in Glendale, Arcadia and Pasadena. They bring several spices, alcohol and kitchenware from India, but could face an increase in cost, as the president said he will impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from India. Those tariffs would kick in Aug. 7.

She and her father, Satokh Singh Khinda, spoke to Spectrum News about the challenges of dealing with the tariffs, and how they plan on navigating the next few months.

Global business executive and senior research fellow at the Drucker School of Management, Ryan Patel, also shared his thoughts on the impacts the tariffs will have on the economy.
