Whoever believes linemen don’t get much love may want to check out the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 and reconsider.

Super Bowl winners and former longtime NFL linemen Mike Fox and Andy McCollum are among nine individuals with local ties who will be inducted into the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame during the SCSHOF’s banquet Oct. 7 in Akron.

“I’m excited and honored to be part of the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame,” Fox said by phone. “I’m just thankful and grateful.”

The NFL careers of Fox and McCollum overlapped from 1995-98. When Fox played defensive line for the Carolina Panthers and McCollum offensive line for the New Orleans Saints, they faced each other in six games.
