GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Business groups are sounding the alarm on two proposed ballot measures that would tax people earning more than $500,000 to raise money for schools and another that would roll back changes to the minimum wage for tipped workers.
The groups, which included the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association, said during a press conference the proposals would “wreck” small businesses and decrease the minimum wage.
