Texas gas prices stay low as summer travel continues
Wichita Falls had some of the lowest gas prices in the State of Texas. Texas’ average price per gallon is $2.81. Nationally, prices are around $3.17 per gallon.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Wichita Falls had some of the lowest gas prices in the State of Texas according to the latest report from AAA Texas. The report also showed that while Texas prices have jumped nine cents over the past week, they remain low compared to the past four years.
Texas’ average price per gallon is $2.81, with Wichita Falls coming in lower at $2.69. Nationally, prices are around $3.17 per gallon. AAA Texas said the state is still enjoying the lowest summer gas prices in four years, and prices nationally are down 37 cents per gallon from this time last year.
