As we’ve seen in many a red carpet and gala event over the last year, Demi Moore loves some sparkle: a fringed gold gown at Demna’s Gucci debut, a thigh-high split black sequin dress (also by Gucci), and Armani corset and fishtail silhouettes in silvers, chromes, and reds. Still, Moore and Goreski also make room for impeccably tailored suits, on occasion.

The LACMA gala, held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California, is an annual fundraising affair, presented by Gucci, that benefits the historic museum. Bringing together notable figures across the fashion, art, film, and music worlds, Moore was joined by a slew of well-dressed stars. Kaia Gerber and mother Cindy Crawford, for instance, perfected mother-daughter style in matching sequins, while Vittoria Ceretti shimmied into a plunging gold gown. It seems the dress code among guests—many in Gucci, but others opting for Versace and McQueen—was sensual and opulent.

Many also, like Moore, tried their own take on the not-going-anywhere naked dress trend. Paloma Elsesser wore a sheer, feather-chested dress with barely there Gucci monogram print, while Kristen Wiig (styled by Karla Welch) chose a lingerie-inspired, see-through Rodarte gown with a delicate sweetheart neckline. Gucci was well represented by Elle Fanning in sky blue faux furs and Doja Cat in sunshine gold sequins.

At the LACMA Gala this year, supermodel and actress Kaia Gerber stepped into the glow – literally and figuratively – wearing a look that could even make Jessica Rabbit do a double take. Cindy Crawford’s daughter shimmered in a scarlet sequinned gown that hugged every curve, radiating old Hollywood glamour with a 2025 twist.

The dress was a floor length stunner, with a deep neckline and liquid like finish. The kind of red that conjures up thoughts of sultry jazz clubs and champagne served in coupés. Combined with softly sculpted waves and subtle, glowing makeup, Kaia embodied the perfect fusion of retro bombshell and modern minimalism.

Kaia – the current beau of Lewis Pullman – Bill Pullman’s actor son – was attending the Gala arm in arm with her mum – supermodel royalty Cindy Crawford. For the event, Cindy also opted for floor length sequins – a gold off the shoulder dress teamed with black accessories. Both Cindy and Kaia leaned into old Hollywood inspired hair with classic movie star waves.

2025 has been quite the year for Kaia. From being back on our TV screens in the second series of hit 60s show Palm Royale to fronting the AW25 campaign for Givenchy and running her online book club Library Science, it’s fair to say Kaia has been pretty busy. Next up is Outcome, a comedy written by Jonah Hill and co-starring Keanu Reeves, set for release later this year.

The media personality and Hilton heiress arrived at the 2025 LACMA Art+Film Gala on Saturday night, November 1, as one of the event’s trustees, dressed in a luxurious gown that was equal parts modest as it was revealing, with her doting husband Carter Reum by her side. She joined several other stars descending upon the famed Los Angeles County Museum of Art, including the likes of Demi Moore, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber, Salma Hayek, and many more.

Paris, 44, was dressed in head-to-toe Gucci, styled out in a beautiful black gown, made of fully sheer and intricate lace and a deep V-neckline. She wore a beige bodysuit underneath, pairing her gown with a matching lace choker, diamond bracelets, black pointed toe heels, and her hair in a lush wavy blowout.

Speaking with HELLO! previously, Megan Watkins, Head Stylist at SilkFred, shared her thoughts on the “naked dress” trend taking over the interwebs in recent months. “The naked dress trend has exploded again because it captures that perfect balance of daring and chic. It’s a way for stars to look both powerful and playful at the same time.”

“What Margot Robbie, Jenna Ortega and Charli XCX are showing us is that naked dressing isn’t just about showing skin; it’s about clever styling and confidence,” she added. “The best versions use sheer fabrics, embellishments, or strategic layering so you get drama without looking like you’ve just stepped out in lingerie.”

She paired the look with jewelry from Gucci, red nails by Zola Ganzorigt. (She used Rokael Beauty makeup for her radiant, dewy look, and had her iconic black long waves done by Dimitris Giannetos!)

While Moore always rocks it on the red carpet, this ultra-bold and luxurious naked dress may be one of her best in 2025!

In a previous interview with People, Moore talked about how, when she created her swimsuit collaboration, she wanted to break fashion stigmas for older women; and that translates to every look she dons. She said, “It’s changing this idea that women become less desirable as we get older. We don’t want to look matronly or not feel sexy.”

She added, “Not being defined by a number and instead being defined by my experience. You hit 59 and you’re already thinking, ‘Well, I’m going to be 60.’ It feels very liberating. When I think of my grandmother at 60, she in a way seemed to be already resigned to being old. But I feel, in so many ways, more alive and present than ever.”
