This yellow condiment is an iconic fixture to the Big Mac itself, and often leaves guests wishing it was on the shelves of their fridge to enjoy at home. Luckily, there is a convenient way to satisfy that condiment craving: A trip to Walmart. Walmart’s Great Value Secret Sauce might take the cake for the best Big Mac Sauce alternative.

While how, exactly, the ingredients of McDonald’s Big Mac Sauce are combined has remained a closely guarded secret since its inception in 1968, the ingredients themselves are clear: Soybean oil, sweet relish, water, egg yolks, distilled vinegar, salt, corn syrup, onion powder, garlic powder, propylene glycol alginate, vegetable protein, sugar, turmeric, extractives of paprika, and soy lecithin.

Walmart’s Great Value Secret Sauce contains most of the same ingredients as McDonald’s Big Mac sauce, but includes dried onion and garlic in place of garlic and onion powders. Walmart’s recipe also favors turmeric extract over turmeric itself, and includes preservatives like sodium benzoate and calcium disodium EDTA. While this sauce is the closest thing to Big Mac Sauce you will find in stores, it might be sweeter than you expect due to the variation in ingredients.
