LOCK HAVEN — The Golden Axe has officially reopened for business under new ownership.

The new owners, Kira Munro, Cadence Eyer and James Pringle, held a grand reopening mid June, welcoming everyone to celebrate with them.

Though the business has new ownership, they are still the same family-friendly venue customers know and love.

They offer flavored lemonade and their signature drink: The Raging Bulls — a mix of Red Bull, flavored syrups and juice. They have over 37 syrup flavors to offer. They also have dog treats and candles for sale courtesy of Onyx’s Pet Bakery.

The venue is entirely BYOB, with wristbands available at the counter to ensure everyone in your party is 21+.

Axe throwing costs $25 for an hour, with kids 7-years-old and older can axe throw as well. On Thursdays they host their “family night” where kids throw for cheaper, with a $10 discount per hour.

The rules at the venue are simple: throwers must wear closed-toe shoes only (no heels!), only single or double hand throws, keep hands off fencing, no destructive throwing, make sure the throwing area is clear, do not hand off axes and respect your axe master.

The facility offers many things for guests to enjoy, including eight hatchet lanes with three that are projectors you can put anything you’d like on, skills machines, corn hole, darts, pool and Jenga as well as three 75-inch TVs with NFL Sunday Ticket.

It costs $8/hr. each to play corn hole, darts and pool. There are no refunds, and all sales are final.

They also offer a 10% discount for axe throwing for college students and healthcare workers, and a 20% discount for axe throwing for veterans.

They’re open to booking reservations for birthday parties and more, and they also have an axe throwing trailer to be rented out. They also host fundraising events such as an upcoming event in August benefitting Tucker Dorman.

The Golden Axe is open Tuesday through Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Though their booking link is not currently functional, you can find the waiver and more information on their website, thegoldenaxelh.com

You can also find them on Facebook and on Tiktok under The.Golden.Axe to keep up to date on their latest posts.
