After analyzing the HSB of an array of gardens, one analysis named a United Kingdom garden the most “vibrant” in the world. See what other gardens made the top five.

Spring has sprung, and as we move into the summer, we’ll see more grass turn green, flowers blossom, and trees bloom into stunning displays celebrating Earth’s beauty. The best way to experience all this magic is by visiting one of the world’s most beautiful gardens, and thanks to a new study by hotel group Premier Inn, we know exactly where they are.

The hotel chain, which recently released a study identifying the world’s most “vibrant” gardens, named Kensington Palace Garden in the United Kingdom the world’s best, with a vibrancy score of 254.

“The garden, which surrounds the historic Kensington Palace, is known for its manicured flower beds, bright floral displays, and structured landscapes, all of which contribute to its high saturation levels,” Premier Inn said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure.

To calculate each vibrancy score, the company analyzed more than 150 gardens sourced via Google Earth. It extracted the HSB (hue, saturation, and brightness) values from each image, and then combined the saturation and brightness levels for each spot.

Kensington wasn’t the only UK garden to make the list. In fact, UK gardens swept the top three spots.

Following Kensington Palace Garden was Kew Gardens, which nabbed a vibrancy score of 250, thanks to its “variety of plant species and coloured floral displays.” The study added there are more than 50,000 living plants there, which add to the garden’s color intensity.

Rounding out the top three was Inveraray Castle in Scotland, the home of the Duke of Argyll.

“The formal gardens are beautifully arranged with winding paths running between the flowerbeds, making the ideal setting for a relaxing stroll, while the castle is also famous for its vibrant rhododendron and azalea collection, which is best viewed during the spring months from late April to early June,” the study noted.

Beyond the UK, Argentina’s Rosedal de Palermo came in fourth on the list, followed by the Nymphenburg Palace Gardens in Germany at No. 6, the Powerscourt Gardens in Ireland at No. 7, the Herrenhausen Gardens in Germany at No. 9, and the Dubai Miracle Garden in Dubai at No. 10.
