David Moyes is starting this transfer window on the back foot with so many players already departing Merseyside.
There are certainly some players who Everton fans will have no issues with seeing depart the club at the end of their contracts.
Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom left Everton following the conclusion of their loan deals.
These are two attackers who provided the Blues with very little in front of goal and were in need of an upgrade this summer.
However, it has left Moyes’ options extremely stretched, for now.
Everton are interested in Jack Grealish, but the Toffees are going to need more than just one signing to address the wide positions.

Everton eyeing Juventus forward Timothy Weah
For some time now, Everton have held interest in Timothy Weah, with his Juventus future up in the air.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Attacking options are needed on Merseyside and the Blues have taken the long-term target forward into this summer’s window.
According to Sebastien Denis, Everton have now made inquiries over landing Weah this summer.
However, the Toffees are not the only side looking to land the American international over the coming months.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with interest and two undisclosed clubs are said to also be on the scene.
Juventus were keen to keep Weah around in January, but that may now have changed with the Turin outfit having more time to find a replacement.
Given the way this window is unfolding, Everton will have to be proactive in their interest if they are to land the 25-year-old.
What Neymar once said about Timothy Weah
This is a forward who follows in the footsteps of his legendary father and he has caught the attention of some of the current greats.
In Serie A, Weah returned five goals and three assists from his 30 appearances, with only 18 of those appearances from the starting XI.
But some believe Weah still has the potential to grow, with Neymar previously praising the exciting talent he holds.
“From what I’ve seen of his talent, he has everything to go and become one of the top attacking players in Europe,” said Neymar.
Everton are prioritising attacking signings this summer, and Weah could be exactly what they need.
Tottenham and Everton make contact for same player

His versatility hasn’t gone unnoticed as Tottenham and Everton are particularly keen, and two other unnamed clubs are also in the picture. The Premier League duo are ‘tracking’ the 25-year-old and will battle for his signature in this window.
The former Lille man has continued to rise at the Serie A club and Foot Mercato state he has an opportunity to make a move to the Premier League. Weah’s contract lasts until 2028.

Tottenham should stick to Premier League model
Tottenham have had mixed success in bringing in players from foreign leagues in recent years
Lucas Bergvall has proven that due diligence can lead to excellent signings, but the club are still haunted by the unfortunate acquisitions of Bryan Gil and Tanguy Ndombele, who ultimately cost Spurs dearly.
While Premier League players come at a higher premium, Spurs’ main objective next season is to stabilise and perform at a higher level consistently across all competitions, and for that, they should sign players physically adept for the challenge.
