Montoursville volunteer firefighters were dispatched to the rear of a commercial building at 780 Broad St. about 12:30 a.m. Thursday when flames were seen coming from the ground PPL transformer feeder in this provided photo, according to borough Deputy Fire Chief Tyler Schramm. Once PPL arrived and shut off all power to the transformer, firefighters quickly doused the fire with a portable extinguisher before it could spread to the building, he said. There were no reports of injuries.
