(WSYR-TV) — There will be a ramp closure planned for I-81 in the Town of Cicero, Onondaga County. The New York State Department of Transportation wants you to know that the Interstate 81 northbound Exit 29N (State Route 481 North/Oswego) off-ramp in the Town of Cicero, Onondaga County, will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., weeknights, beginning Wednesday, July 30, to Saturday, August 2, for paving, guiderail installation and striping operations as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. You are asked to follow the signed detour that directs traffic to Exit 28 (Taft Road/N Syracuse), to east on East Taft Road, to north on Northern Boulevard, to Interstate 481 northbound. The activities of the construction are based on the weather and are subject to change. You are urged to slow down and drive the speed limit in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. If you receive two or more speeding violations in a work zone, it could result in the suspension of your driver’s license.
