MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – On Sunday, June 1 the UnityPoint Health RN’s will hold a press conference to mark the end of a five day strike and to welcome the nurses back to work.

During the press conference, SEIU Wisconsin will give an update on the agreement before nurses head into work. Nurses will also hear from Madison Mayor, Satya Rhodes-Conway.

According to SEIU Wisconsin, “Meriter RNs secured strong contractual language addressing safety, security, and staffing. Nurses also achieved an across-the-board wage increase that truly reflects the dedication, skill, and compassion they bring to their work every day.”

The press conference will begin at 6:30 a.m.
