“United States (US) President Donald Trump’s unprecedentedly dangerous move to ‘obliterate’ Iran’s highly fortified nuclear facilities, if not as factual as he had described it, could trigger a world war on a scale nobody has ever witnessed or read about,” he said.

“Ancient history taught us about Persia’s ability to recover with deadly vengeance,” he added.

Trump earlier announced the US had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran namely Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan – adding that Iran must agree to end its conflict with Israel.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, for his part, said his nation reserves all options in responding to the attack.

Amid escalating tension in the Middle East after the US Strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the United States of America has issued a “worldwide caution” travel advisory for US citizens.

In a post on X, the US Department of State Consular Affairs claimed that there is the potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad and advises U.S. citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution.

“Worldwide Caution: The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closure of airspace across the Middle East. There is the potential for demonstrations against U.S. citizens and interests abroad. The Department of State advises U.S. citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution. Please read carefully our Travel Advisory, country information, and any recent security alerts when planning travel at http://travel.state.gov/destination,” the state department said on X.

Meanwhile, the US also issued a security alert for Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Iraq, UAE, Jordan. A Level 4: Do not Travel advisory for Lebanon was also issued.

The developments follow after US President Donald Trump on Saturday (US local time) said that the United States has launched an attack on three Nuclear sites in Iran. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the success of the operation launched by the US in Iran on Sunday.

During a media briefing with Chairperson of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Air Force General Dan Caine, Hegseth said that the US had successfully conducted precision strikes in Iran’s Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.

“Last night, on President Trump’s order, the US Central Command conducted a precision strike in the middle of the night against three nuclear facilities in Iran – Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz – to destroy or severely degrade Iran’s nuclear programme. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs will demonstrate, it was an incredible and overwhelming success,” he said.

Hegseth said that the orders from the US President and Commander-in-Chief were clear. They ‘obliterated’ Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Hegseth also said that the US did not target Iranian troops or civilians. “But it’s worth noting that the operation did not target Iranian troops or the Iranian people,” he added.

The conflict between Israel and Iran entered its eleventh day on Monday. Tension between the two Middle Eastern nations began when Israel launched ‘Operation Rising Lion’ on June 13, targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, military bases, and senior commanders.

In response, Iran initiated its military operation, named Operation ‘True Promise 3’, launching drone and missile attacks against Israeli targets. Tensions escalated further after the United States conducted airstrikes on three nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday.

Iran Israel war news: The Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant in Iran was one of the three nuclear facilities the US military struck on Sunday as it got directly involved in the Israel-Iran conflict.

However, two Israeli officials have told the New York Times that Iran had moved a significant amount of uranium and other equipment from the Fordow plant before the US strikes.

Uranium in 400 kg in quantity and enriched to 60 per cent purity, barely short of the weapons-grade levels of 90 per cent, was reportedly moved from the enrichment plant as the Trump administration sought time to decide if the US would send ground troops to Iran.

The US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facility in Fordow left it with “very significant damage,” according to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but he cautioned the extent of the damage was still to be determined.

“We will examine the situation,” Netanyahu said, “and in any case, we will ensure that there is no threat from these nuclear facilities.”

Multiple massive “bunker-buster” bombs were launched at Fordow, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said at a previous news conference. The nuclear facility, located near the Iranian city of Qom, is built inside a mountain and heavily guarded.

Netanyahu said in a pre-recorded news conference with several local and international journalists there were no conditions placed on the US bombing operation, and that Israel did not have to commit to end the war in Gaza in exchange for American bombers targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“President (Donald) Trump didn’t put any conditions. This is not the nature of our relationship, I have to say,” said Netanyahu. “We speak openly. We speak as friends, genuine friends. And he’s a great leader. He makes the decisions for America.”

He added he was notified of the attack in advance. “That’s natural. Just as he knew in advance when we would act, we knew in advance when he would act,” Netanyahu said.

Asked by CNN where Iran’s stockpile of 400 kilograms of enriched uranium was, Netanyahu said Israel had what he called “interesting intel” about where it may be.

“We’ve been following that very closely,” Netanyahu said. “I can tell you that it’s an important component of a nuclear program. It’s not the sole component. It’s not a sufficient component. But it’s an important component. But we have interesting intel on that with … you’ll excuse me if I don’t share with you.”

War in Gaza: Netanyahu also said the efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza continue, stressing that Israel accepts the proposal put forward by US envoy Steve Witkoff.

“The contacts are continuing as we speak, all the time. We’re obviously focused on Iran, but we never forget Gaza, we never forget our hostages,” he said.

“The operation in Iran is helping to achieve the goal in Gaza,” Netanyahu asserted. He said Iran can no longer support Hamas, which could hasten the militant group’s demise, comparing it to the collapse of Hezbollah.
