EA Sports College Football 26 is the talk of the video game world, with Michigan football a big-time team in the game.

The Wolverines have an 85 overall rating, ranking them as the No. 15 team in the game. That’s a four-spot drop from the previous year, where Michigan had an 88 overall rating coming of their 2023 national championship season.

A big reason why the Wolverines continue to rank so highly in the game is a high number of talented players. Michigan has four players in the EA Sports College Football 26 ranked in the top 100 in the country, the same number as No. 3-ranked Ohio State and No. 9-ranked Oregon.

S Rod Moore (92 overall)

Safety Rod Moore comes in as the highest-ranked Michigan player with a 92 overall rating. That ranks him as the second-best free safety in the game, though he’s listed as No. 3 on the charts since players with the same overall rating are listed in alphabetical order by first name (with TCU’s Bud Clark and his 92 overall rating ranked ahead of Moore).

Moore played a critical role as a junior on the 2023 national championship team, playing in 12 games and corralling the game-sealing interception in the regular-season finale against Ohio State. He tore his ACL during spring practice ahead of the 2024 season, however, and missed the entire year.

Still, the two-time All-Big Ten selection was named a team captain before announcing he would return for a fifth year instead of declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.

DE Derrick Moore (91 overall)

Derrick Moore’s 91 overall rating lands him at No. 73 on the overall list and No. 4 on the list of right ends, making him one of the most valuable defensive ends in the game.

Moore is an incoming senior after playing in at least 12 games over his first three seasons with the Wolverines. He has played in 41 total games and recorded 65 tackles and 11 sacks in his college career, while being named an All-Big Ten honorable mention for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

G Giovanni El-Hadi (91 overall)

Giovanni El-Hadi has a 91 overall rating in the game, ranking him as the No. 76 player in the top-100 (though he’s at a lower placement than Derrick Moore since his first name comes later in alphabetical order).

The Sterling Heights native has made 16 starts over three years at Michigan, becoming a regular starter and an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2024. He figures to be a key piece on the Wolverines’ offensive line as a senior for the 2025 season.

DT Rayshaun Benny (91 overall)

The final Michigan player listed in the top 100 is defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny, who at a 91 overall rating is listed as the sixth-best DT in the game.

The Detroit native has played games in all four of his seasons with the Wolverines dating back to 2021. He recorded a career-high 29 tackles during the 2024 season and enters the 2025 season as a fifth-year senior.

What is Bryce Underwood’s overall rating in EA Sports College Football 26?

While Bryce Underwood is one of the most highly-anticipated recruits in Michigan football history, the folks at EA Sports are not ready to crown him among the game’s best – yet.

Underwood has been given an 81 overall rating, which is really good for someone who has yet to play a snap, but not one of the best in the game, or on his team (see above).

But that shouldn’t concern Michigan fans looking to start a dynasty too much, as Underwood’s potential will surely see him become one of the best players in the game by the time his (virtual) career is over.

EA Sports College Football 26 will be released to the public on Thursday, July 10.
