Medha Roopam is a 2014-batch IAS officer and national-level shooter. She will replace Manish Verma, who has been transferred to Prayagraj. She is the daughter of Gyanesh Kumar, the current Chief Election Commissioner of India. Her husband, Santosh Kumar Singh, is also an Ias officer and currently serves as the DM of Saharanpur. She has served in key administrative roles across UP, known for proactive governance and infrastructure expertise.

Noida: Medha Roopam, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been named the new district magistrate of Noida — becoming the first woman to hold this post. The 2014-batch officer is currently serving as the DM of Kasganj and will replace Manish Verma, who has been transferred to Prayagraj. Medha has previously worked as Additional CEO of the Greater Noida Authority between February 2023 and June 2024. During which, she oversaw major infrastructure and planning projects, reported TOI.
An economics graduate from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Medha began her IAS career in Bareilly and has held various roles in cities such as Meerut, Lucknow, Barabanki, Hapur, Unnao, and Kasganj. She’s also a national-level rifle shooter, having won three gold medals at the Kerala State Shooting Championship before securing the 10th all-India rank in the 2014 UPSC exam.
During her time in Hapur, she led important health campaigns like immunisation drives and Ayushman Bharat. In Kasganj, she made headlines when she drove a tractor through flooded areas of Gangagarh to monitor rescue operations, the media report added.
Medha is the daughter of Gyanesh Kumar, a retired Kerala-cadre IAS officer and the current Chief Election Commissioner of India. Her husband, Santosh Kumar Singh, is also an IAS officer and currently serves as the DM of Saharanpur.
