Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and the suspect. Both the suspect and the victim work at Hussmann Corporation. Charmain Martin, 51, has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Martin is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
According to the Bridgeton Police Department, they were called around 10:40 p.m. to Hussmann Corporation at 12999 St. Charles Rock Road for a shooting. At the scene, police found a woman suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where police say she is in stable condition.
Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and the suspect, who they identified as 51-year-old Charmain Martin. Both Martin and the victim work at Hussmann, police said.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Martin with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Martin is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
