Woman killed in shooting outside Hawthorne sports bar
A woman was shot to death overnight outside a sports bar in Hawthorne, officials confirmed to KTLA Friday morning. It happened around 1:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in the 11000 block of South Inglewood Avenue. Officials only identified the victim as an adult female. Unconfirmed reports from TNLA say that, according to one witness, two female suspects got into an argument at a nearby bar, resulting in one woman being “forcibly dragged” from a vehicle and shot at least three times in the abdomen.
It happened around 1:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in the 11000 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
Deputies and Hawthorne police responded to reports of a shooting death outside the sports bar located in a shopping center to find the woman dead at the scene. Officials only identified the victim as an adult female.
Footage from stringer service Traffic News L.A. (TNLA) shows a large law enforcement presence in the parking lot area of the shopping center as bar-goers and other members of the public are seen leaving the area; however, some remain gathered around the scene, possibly waiting to speak with investigators. A perimeter of caution tape was also seen around the parking lot.

Not long after TNLA’s footage was filmed, KTLA sent a crew to the scene and recorded investigators gathering evidence, as well as the white canopy set up in the area, signaling a fatal incident.
Unconfirmed reports from TNLA say that, according to one witness, two female suspects got into an argument at a nearby bar, resulting in one woman being “forcibly dragged” from a vehicle and shot at least three times in the abdomen. Officials did not confirm or comment on this information.
LASD did not report any arrests nor share any suspect descriptions, but encouraged anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
