Xbox is Coming to Gamescom 2025 and it’s Bringing the ROG Xbox Ally
Microsoft announced that Xbox will show off over 20 games at Gamescom 2025 in late August. Those who attend the show in person will be able to go hands-on with the first Xbox gaming handhelds. Xbox will broadcast live from its booth that Wednesday and Thursday at 9 am ET/6 am PT, and Bethesda will provide three days of live broadcasts the show floor starting on Friday, August 22. The Xbox booth will be located in Hall 7 of the Koelnmesse, North entrance, and there will be special events like a The Outer Worlds 2 theater presentation and a World of Warcraft celebration.
“We’re excited to return to Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 20-24 to connect with our fans from all over the world,” Xbox’s Maxi Graeff writes in the announcement post. “This year, the Xbox booth will be full of fantastic upcoming games from Xbox and our incredible third-party partners coming to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass this Holiday and beyond.”

Here’s what Xbox has planned for this year’s Gamescom.
ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. The first Xbox gaming handhelds will be available for showgoers to see and use in person. They’ll be loaded up with games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Roblox, Sea of Thieves, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.
Games. Xbox will showcase over 20 first and third party titles at the show, including Grounded 2, Ninja Garden 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with its upcoming The Order of Giants DLC, Age of Empires and Age of Mythology: Retold, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, The Outer Worlds 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Borderlands 4, Onimusha: Way of The Sword, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, EA Sports FC 26, Aniimo, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, PowerWash Simulator 2, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy XVI, Invincible VS, Super Meat Boy 3D, Cronos: The New Dawn, Mistfall Hunter, and more.
The Xbox booth will be located in Hall 7 of the Koelnmesse, North entrance, and there will be special events like a The Outer Worlds 2 theater presentation and a World of Warcraft celebration that includes a peek at Midnight, the game’s upcoming new expansion. Oh, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be revealed on August 19, during the Opening Night Live event.
